About

Twenty languages. Eighty operators. One operations centre: Bologna.

Onchain Translator was founded in Bologna in 2019 by a computational linguist and a former enterprise localization director who had spent 15 years watching translation agencies treat language like a commodity instead of critical infrastructure.

The industry default is to assign projects based on language pair and availability. We assign based on language pair, domain expertise, document-type track record, and throughput velocity. A pharmaceutical linguist translates pharmaceutical documents. A litigation lawyer translates litigation documents. A luxury brand specialist adapts luxury campaigns. There are no generalists in our stack.

Bologna is our operations centre — a city that has been a centre of learning since 1088 when it founded the oldest university in the Western world. Today it is Italy's most connected city, a logistics and technology hub at the crossroads of north and south. We think in systems, and Bologna is where the system runs.

Our core team of eight (ops managers, QA engineers, and platform specialists) coordinates a curated network of eighty freelance linguists across twenty languages. Every linguist has been tested on a real project, interviewed for domain depth, and evaluated before admission. Average translator experience: 13 years. Average domain specialisation: 9 years.

3.4 million words deployed. 99.8% on-time SLA. Zero regulatory rejections. We are not the lowest bidder. We are the vendor that eliminates translation risk from your operations — and for content where precision is non-negotiable, that is the only calculation.

Onchain ops

Domain expertise is non-negotiable.

Every project matched to a linguist based on subject-matter qualification and document-type experience. Pharma linguists handle pharma. Lawyers handle legal. No exceptions. No generalists.

Your TM is your infrastructure.

Translation memory and glossaries built during your projects belong to you. They reduce future costs, lock terminology, and make every subsequent deployment faster and more consistent.

Two-pass verification. Always.

Every translation passes through a domain-expert translator and an independent peer reviewer, plus automated QA. Two human verification layers on every project regardless of volume.
